Collage
Colour is an amazing thing. It can also be a tricky thing.
That would be why we study colour.
I have begun a program at City and Guilds (on line). It is a certificate programme in 'Patchwork and Quilting'. This course is headed by the Kemshalls, Linda and Laura. Check them out at http://www.lindakemshall.com/Linda.htm
One of the exercises in the first unit is collecting items in a similar colourway.
Blue
Green
There are plenty of natural greens, but other than grass and trees other hues are challenging to find.
Yellow
Yellows tend to be light so I used creative licence and moved into the golds and oranges.
Orange
This is a great colour that has a bad rap!
Red
Great practise for composition.
This was a great exercise. Fun to execute and learned a lot!

What a fun exercise, brain stretching, too. Please give us more of what you learn as you continue the C&G course.
On a personal note, could you tell me the name of the book you recommended to me the other day? And I think your guild challenge ideas are VERY good.
Hi great rreading your post
